HOWL AT THE MOON 5K NIGHT RACE

REGISTRATION 6:45PM – 8:15PM
RACE BEGINS AT DUSK (AROUND 8:30PM)
Due to Covid-19, we have just been informed by our school district we will be unable to hold the Howl at the Moon 5K race (benefitting the Beaver Cross Country and Track programs), in person. So instead, we will hold the race virtually!
Here’s where we need your help. With this decision happening a week before the race, we are requesting that you run a 5K on your own and post your time on our website www.beaverxctrack.com. We ask that you please don’t cancel as this is a fundraiser for two underfunded school sports that benefits the kids by buying uniforms and equipment that is not always supplied by the school district.
Plus, the shirts are awesome this year!
We will be holding a packet pick up/celebration at our sponsor “The Big Sno”, located beside the Beaver County YMCA in New Brighton, on Saturday, August 8 th , from 1:00pm to 7:00pm. Stop in, take a fun picture at our virtual race backdrop, and support our sponsor by buying a delicious snow cone! If you can’t make the packet pick-up on the 8 th , we will also be distributing the shirts on August 12 th from 5:00-7:00pm and August 15 th from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the pavilion beside the tennis courts at the Beaver Area High School. If those dates don’t work for you, alternative arrangements will be made.
We’re really sorry about this situation. Our committee is comprised of runners too and we hate to cancel a race.
